On February 20, 2019, Post 237 Commander Don Pinkerton, Historian Ken Carpenter, and Adjutant Tom Hartley presented two certificates of recognition to Dr. Meghan Darby and her Huntsville and Meridianville, Alabama Flint River Dental clinics for “The Compassionate Dental Care Provided to U.S. Military Veterans in Need”. On November 10, 2018 Dr. Darby (veteran Captain, U.S. Air Force, Dental Corps) and her staff, together with Dr. Lorrie Green, Dr. Julia Kwon, Darby family members, and others, provided free-of-charge dental services including dental exams, radiographs, cleanings, fillings, and extractions. These services were provided to veterans without dental insurance. Approximately thirty veterans received outstanding and compassionate care on this occasion. The certificate included the names of all involved.
