Post 237 American Legion Baseball

More than half of current Major League players have played American Legion Baseball.   Founded in 1925, American Legion Baseball is designed to develop character, leadership and baseball skills.  It is also an opportunity for young athletes to showcase their talent.

Post 237 sponsors Junior Varsity, Varsity, and 19U teams.  Coach Rick Bragg’s teams have won the State Tournament in 2018 and 2019.  Currently there are 16 alumni of Post 237 American Legion teams playing college baseball at eight different schools.

Baseball tryouts for players age 15 to 18 will be held at Optimist Park on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 1PM.  For details contact Coach Bragg at 256-651-9476.
